Crock Pot Chicken

and other simple delights of life

Crock pot chicken
When it comes to cooking crock pot chicken, there are a large number of varieties. But one thing in common among all these varieties is the fact that they can easily be turned into one of the tastiest meals around. But at the same time, there are also cases where the chicken comes out raw, rubbery or dry. This is why it is essential to know how to properly handle a Crock pot.

Before beginning to cook a meal, take a minute to think of all the different foods you could cook. One of the most difficult Crock pot chicken meals probably is the chicken & rice dish. The main reason for this is because the rice will always soak up all the moisture and this can result in your chicken being far from perfect. One way in which you can avoid this problem from occurring is by cooking the rice prior to putting it in the Crock pot. You can simply prepare your rice on the stove and then add it to the Crock pot. And when the rice is cooked, slowly blend it into the cooker. You will be able to achieve the same effect and still have an amazing tasting chicken.

Another thing that you should keep in mind is that chicken doesn’t always cook as fast as you want. In such situations, you should increase the heat. But, there are two problems that might occur in such cases. The first problem is that this might make the chicken rubbery & the second is that the chicken might still be raw after cooking. Even though many people may say otherwise, there are very few Crock pot chicken recipes which can be prepared using a shortened cooking time.

It is also very important for you to remember that flavor is an essential part of any Crockpot chicken recipe. While there are a large number of recipes which will require you to add water, there are even more recipes which will taste much better if you added chicken stock instead of plain water. Doing so will give your Crockpot chicken a much better and unique flavor which greatly enhances the taste of your meal. This might just end up being the difference between a good meal and a perfect meal which your entire family will enjoy.

Remember, if you want your Crockpot chicken to cook perfectly, it is best that you cut the chicken into 1 inch thick cubes. This will ensure that the chicken cooks evenly from all side and will greatly reduce the chances of the chicken being raw or rubbery. And the best part of this is that you will notice an entirely different flavor when you choose to cook Crockpot chicken this way.

Making Crockpot chicken the right way can be the difference between simply eating a meal and enjoying a meal. Just ensure to keep all of the above tips in mind when in the kitchen and you should have no trouble at all preparing a tasty meal for everyone to enjoy.
